another x competition today!
organised by Swift, same 3.2k route as last week.
I don't really know what the difference between today's and last Sat's race was, but i'm just thankful that my shins didn't hurt very badly after last week's race(:
being able to race twice in a week is a HUGE accomplishment, i hope my shins don't give in now ! (:
i can't seem to find my Voltaren cream, all i found was the cap sitting on the table. so my tube of cream's just lying open somewhere, but i've searched all the possible places i could have left it and i just can't find it! ><
so i have to rely on my old Fastum gel but i don't think it's as good as Voltaren.
Maybe it's thanks to Voltaren that my shin didn't hurt after last week's race (:

anw, i was praying that it wouldn't rain today, but it did!
quite heavily in fact.
thank goodness it stopped before the race.
but the route was even wetter and muddier than last week!
all the puddles everywhere.
Strangely though, i didn't find the downslopes as slippery, maybe because i was bracing myself for them.
or maybe all the rain caused the leaf litter to spread out over the ground so there was slightly more traction.
starting was slightly slower than last week cause i was stuck in the middle and people were pushing and pushing ><
but i think my timing in the end was around the same.
position too i think. around 16th maybe?
RJ team 1 got 2nd for Women's U20 yay (:

my shoes were practically unrecognisable by the end of the race.
they went from still relatively new and white to splattered with mud ):
but there was something fun about deliberately running through the squishy mud and puddles and sending mud/water splashing everywhere (apologies to the person/people running behind me! haha)
came home and immediately went to wash my shoes before the mud sank in too deep.
